New owner doesn't know what he is doing. The place is a sinking ship. Don't go anywhere near it.
I can confirm the accuracy of the previous comment.
In my dealings with Mr. Meulensteen he has displayed a lethal combination of arrogance and ignorance. His poor leadership has:
(1) created a hellish work environment for his staff
(2) hurt the careers of many of his artists (who where not lucky enough to find other representation after the gallery was sold)
(3) damaged many relationships with institutions and collectors
(4) soured relationships between the gallery and many of its vendors (whom he is either unwilling or unable to pay in a timely manner)
He is gradually destroying what was once a successful gallery.
Tried to drop by an opening the other night but wasn't on "the list" Art Fag City had a thing to say about this . . .
