make no mistake - they are a gallery. a little scatterbrained when it comes to dealing (and i suspect some of that is intentional), but have a great, challenging list of artists and have produced some great shows.
They may be a bit clubby and insidery, "too cool for school" but they're a good example of why New York remains an exciting place to be. They keep alive the AFA flame...a predictable but interesting list of Cologne-scene artists...their "outsider" status contradicted by total Artforum infiltration...regardless of all that, keep coming back for more. John Kelsey so smart and cute also.
have dealt with Emily and John (or Reena S.) they are flaky, unreliable and ultimately lame. To their credit, I have liked some of their concepts, artists and shows, impressive for a couple of anemic space cadets.
Don't answer emails. Don't answer phone during business hours. Don't return voice message. I suspect they prioritize people based on where they stand on the social circuit.
Rat Fink searching for Scuz Finks, Gold Finks.
