Zoubok has found a niche, collage and assemblage, and fills it with a very wide variety of what that means. Moreover, he's not afraid to show artists with a history (i.e., artists over 40), nor is he he afraid to show women artists in goodly number.
As a collector my perspective has been broadened.
I love Pavel. He is knowledgeable but not pretentious, very warm and genuine, shows what he is passionate about, and like the previous commenter said, doesn't restrict himself to showing young hotties.
Pavel's a good guy, always takes the time to talk, and has found a great angle for the gallery.
It's so satisfying to find a gallery owner that promotes his vision from true love, not the fleeting fancy of fashion. Pavel is sincere, passionate and inclusive, and it shows.
I totally agree with these posts and would like to add that Pavel unlike many dealers sits at the front desk of his gallery, refreshing and unusual.
Pavel Zoubok is a wonderful gallery and are happy to work with collectors at any level, not just people with fat wallets. I have purchased several works from his gallery. Also his associate director, Steve, is super nice.
