Vanessa rules. She's been steadily doing her own thing for the past 7 years on 23rd st and doesnt give a fuck what people say. The press has been realizing this for awhile and are treating her well. Loyal to her artists to a T. U go girl!!!
Yeah, Vanessa Rules all right. Its easy to rule when you have all of your artists' money, never pay anyone , live in chelsea and wear designer clothes. It is admirable to go out on a limb for young artists in New York, but deplorable not to pay them. I know several people who have Buia-horror stories and tales of her owning artists. Shame Shame We Know Your Name.
can corroborate her taking a very long, nay indeterminate time to pay. she's loyal to her artists, but also doesn't get them into other galleries, or shows. she has a tendency to "rule" via intimidation.
Yet another confirmation of her choice to not pay artists. I personally experienced it and have come across many others who've had the same experience. I could go on at length, could paste in some of her asinine emails to me full of pathetic, childish, justifications, but will leave it at saying, I'm glad the gallery has closed -- only sorry that it'll make it even harder to collect for those she still owes.
Rat Fink searching for Scuz Finks, Gold Finks.

Has some steady collectors, and a nice space.
Confirming the payment issues presented previously.

Yes just confirmed with my close friend represented there that this venue is now closed.
