In late 2007 or early 2008, an online source had indicated that the building housing the gallery was being sold and demolished to make way for a new building altogether and that CBG would be relocating out-of-state. When this writer asked CB to confirm these assertions, she confirmed the information about the building. She'd indicated that the information about the relocation had not yet been confirmed, as the parties connected with the prospective, new location were still discussing details.

I worked with Cynthia off and on over the years. I don't think she was the smartest dealer in New York but she was always pleasant to work with and paid in a timely manner. It's too bad she had to close the gallery (her landlords bought out the remaining term on her lease so they could demolish the building) and I hope she finds a place to re-open soon.
