supposedly very conservative but wrote a very perceptive review of my work...have been reviewed in far trendier publications but I even learned something from his review.
David Cohen, whether you agree with his tastes, has got to be one of the nicest and most supportive critics on the New York scene. Conservative or not his prose is some of the best out there. With his “Art Critical” web site he’s given many young would be critics a chance to be part of the larger conversation. He’s actively involved in establishing a network of critics who can at least meet and hang out together with out falling into ideological camps of perceived conflict.
