overrated, but not because of self-inflation like Biesenbach, but because he is flat. Listen to his interview with M. Barney; mediooicre at best. Lack of charisma can be fatal.
saw him give a panel talk & he def. had charisma & charm; felt that he was very passionate about artists, art, and the business thereof. as well, he chatted afterwords w/me and was very gracious w/his time, & was informative & friendly...
RF disses bloggers, assumes that the New Museum shows "culture", calls Jerry Saltz "Benito Mussolini" and has NO CLUE why people have really been complaining about the New Museum lately. Basically speaks volumes about the people who make decisions - they market themselves as the NEW museum afterall . Oh he also mentions he "only heard of blogs, like, 3 months ago". Maybe he should call up George Bush and see what's up with "the Internets"...ha!
