Henriette's been a curator at the Whitney for more than five years. Her focus was initially in film and video when the museum still operated departmentally, but she's organized a number of shows like Summer of Love, a retrospective of filmmaker Robert Beavers' work, and a beautiful show called Small: The Object in Film, Video, and Slide Installation. I totally appreciate her modesty, would be nice to see more of that in this field.

Who is this German woman and why is she curating the Whitney Biennial of American Art? No really, who is she?

She also curated the biennial while pregnant and did a great job. Kudos to women like her!!
She's really nobody to be curating, but is an extremely organized person and thus her success.
