emotionally unstable and does not pay his artists
I like that the website includes his biography. It would be nice if more dealers did that.
website has not been updates with any new show in over 5 months and no new shows listed, his artists have left
it is interesting that this website hows my dealing is only doing the green O's and red X's for certain galleries and not others like this one? should there be consistency?
treats his staff and artists really poorly, doesnt come into the gallery much.... artist turn over rate very high which is not a good sign for a gallery. it is also well known that he does has a small collector base and does not know the current art world. He tends to get hysterical and mean and drops artist without even letting them know. One artist heard about being dropped by him through another gallery. Not cool at all.
where is the red x for this gallery?
I used to show with him and it was terrible,he couldnt get anything done without drama and he didnt have any connections. would recommend to anyone to avoid him, the word amongst collectors and critics is that he is a diva that is not worth working with and that his time is long past. He is often has hissy fits and is out with "cold" i.e. hung over from something
I cannot comment on his recent business activity, but he is the last person who would be out with a "cold" in that he does not drink alcohol and practices yoga.
i show with him... he is very difficult and unpredictable
i know artist have been having good collectors come to them directly
