Do not pay on time (by 'on time' I mean a very generous 90 days). Did not inform me that they received payment for a painting, after invoicing them multiple times they did not give me a check for 18 months. Have been waiting to get paid for 4-5 years for some other works.
Had a show with an out of NY gallery and Kravets Wehby sent them a contract stating that A. All works were on loan from KWG. B. The artist's commission should be paid directly to them. C. Sales are not allowed to 'their' collectors.
Basically they attempted to steal an entire show, waiting till the day of the press release to send the contract.

Unprofessional. Avoid at all costs.

I have purchased work from this gallery in the past. If the artists had trouble getting paid, I never heard about it.
But if this is true and they do not pay on time, shame on them.
I hope they can get this sorted out, they are both lovely people.
"We'll have a check for you soon." means that they will pay you a small fraction of what they owe within the next year.
I am friendly with several artists at Kravets Wehby and have been told horrific stories. They do not pay their artists!
No big shocker there.
Mr. Wehby occasionally comes into our gallery to gossip about other dealers.
