Despite Mike's reputation, after working with him I learned the truth... that he is a very honest dealer. I have had some bad experiences in the past with dealers, but my experience with Mike has been great! He cares about the work, and pays you on time, and let's the artist do whatever he wants. It's an artist friendly gallery :-)
Mike maybe is not the most people friendly person, but he is a workaholic, and is a great mover/shaker, as well as making sure his artists are taken care of financially. He knows what he's doing. Couldn't say the same for other gallery directors.
A paranoid freak of nature ! mover and a shaker in the bottom feeders art world, steal artists from other galleries, his collectors are bunch of desperate housewives and commerical junk lovers, lie about the real mediums of artworks...common guys !
I'm so surprised that no one has written about Yigal Ozeri's work here. He sells his works as 'paintings', but they are actually digital prints that his many painting slaves apply thin layers of paint on top of to give the veneer of being a painting... its a factory a la Thomas Kinkaid who has 'galleries of light' all over suburban malls, both of them targeting buyers who know next to nothing about art, but have big $ to pay for an 'original' piece. I can't believe people fall for this shit!!!!!!!!
I had an interview here recently and got the impression that there is bad energy here. Have to agree with other posts that this gallery is probably not a good place to spend the greater part of your day. Can't comment any more than my first impressions however and you can take that for what its worth.(but felt enough compelled to comment about it!)
The new director (Anna) is great. I've dealt with Mike personally, he can be generous but idiosyncratic at times. It's curious that they don't show more sculpture.
As a someone who used to work at this gallery I cannot agree more with comments @ the unsavoriness of this place. The negative comments don't begin to describe how employees are treated by the owner who is a needy bi-polar narcissist with full blown OCD. Young ladies just out of school and anyone considering doing an internship especially will not have a good experience here. Having a Y chromosome pretty much excludes you from a any sort of a job here unless you are lifting something heavy. If you do take a job here expect incessant calls-texts on your days off for no reason and completely irratic behavior.
To get a sense of the 2 awful people (Mike & Anna) who are running this gallery - Just look at the turn around time for gallery staff. Working there is like working in hell on earth. If you have any interest in keeping your dignity, integrity & mental health stay far away.

petinent article for staff and artists alike: http://www.artfagcity.com/2009/11/23/the-outfit-that-got-meghann-snow-fired/
also, i contacted this gallery to buy work and was never followed up with to come and look at pieces. not very encouraging for artists if you ask me.
DO. NOT. WORK. HERE.
Toxic environment, and a director that can't even write a press release...this speaks volumes.
Rinky dink despite their location.
Stay away if you want to keep your soul and dignity in intact!
